Kaltenbach is the location of the bottom station of the Ski dorado Hochfügen-Hochzillertal. Called "The best connection", 155 perfectly prepared slopes are at your disposal. Two eight-seat gondola lifts make queueing in the mornings a thing of the past. A special attraction is night skiing, offered twice weekly. Near the bottom station in Kaltenbach you can find a number of well-known aprés ski bars and many service facilities.
The "Kristallhütte" has already welcomed prominent guests such as the Austrian and German Federal Presidents and is considered one of the top addresses in the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area. At the valley station in Kaltenbach you will find several well-known après-ski bars and many service facilities.
The Zillertal Superskipass is valid from beginning of December - 1 week after Easter on all 530 km of optimally groomed slopes and 180 lifts in the 4 extensive skiing ares (Hochzillertal-Hochfügen-Spieljoch, Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, Ski- Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000) in Zillertal. A Superskipass validity period of between 2 and 21 days can be freely selected. Ski passes for up to 1.5 days are only available for the individual ski areas.

Not for late sleepers! An indescribable feeling of freedom you experience when you drive the freshly groomed slopes down first. Starting at 7:30 am, you can take the gondola to the Hochzillertal ski area and start the day's skiing. In addition, one must have experienced the sunrise on the mountain once!
The Wachterhof Special is SKI IN / SKI OUT: ski directly onto the slopes!
The night skiing in the Hochzillertal ski area takes place every Friday from 19:00 to 21:30 on the floodlit valley run in Kaltenbach.
Also for the night skiing you need NO extra means of transport from the Wachterhof as your skis. Out the front door and into the skis and off you, the fun continues at night skiing.
Everyone in the region has the opportunity to participate in the Hochzillertal ski area, at the Fullmoon Skiing at the "Kristallhütte"!
Experience the glittering of the full moon at 2,150 m above sea level. An impressive full moon experience by the fireplace with "Zillertal stories". Let's start from about 17.00 clock at the Kristallhütte with a leisurely drink. After a gourmet menu with wine accompaniment we drive with the ski guides into the valley. Attention! Limited seats. Participation only possible with advance reservation.
Those who love untouched powder snow are in seventh heaven in Zillertal. The expansive freeride paradise with the finest powder and virgin deep-snow slopes promises a pure sense of freedom and great diversity. With more than 65 freeride runs, Zillertal is one of the biggest deep-snow paradises in the Alps. Exciting variants, runs and spectacular deep-snow slopes with between 1,000 and 2,000 metres of elevation difference are well-known by more than just insiders.
NOTE: In order to enjoy the experience freeriding to the full, the guided descent with a licensed freeride guide is recommended for all tours! At every ride you will find providers for guided freeride tours in Zillertal.
A funline is a stretch of slope with lots of different bumps, an array of steep curves and fun galore. Cordoned off from the standard piste, it provides the perfect opportunity for everyone from beginners to advanced users to put their skills to the test – all free of charge.
The different elements pose new challenges and offer a welcome change to gliding down the standard piste. Funruns do exactly what they say on the tin, offering plenty of fun for people of all ages.
The Betterpark Hochzillertal is located just below the exit of the 8-passenger chairlift Schnee Express. The snowpark has a total length of 320 m and has meanwhile received its own lift.
The snowpark offers different areas for all skill levels. You can choose between Beginner Line, Medium Line, Pro Line, Jib Line and XL-Kicker Line.
